Dr. Rouse is a native of England where he completed his education through a the BVSc honors degree. Graduate education in Canada with MSc in Virology and PhD in immunology Postdoctoral fellowship at Walter and Eliza Hall of Medical Research in Melbourne Australia in Cellular Immunology 1970-72.Established research Program at University of Saskatchewan on Viral immunology supported by Medical Research Council of Canada.Moved to College of Veterinary Medicine University of Tennessee in 1977 where he remains as the Lindsay Young Distinguished Professor Took several mainly sabbaticals, including one with Peter Doherty (another veterinarian) in Canberra and Hermann Wagner for one year in Mainz, Germany Worked on the immunology of herpesvirus infections supported continuously by multiple NIH grants until the lad was closed in Dec 2022.Published >470 research articles and reviews with and h index 91 and won several Research Achievement awards. Trained 80 PhD and postdoctoral fellows most of whom he stays in contact and occasionally writes reviews on topics in Viral Immunology.

Dr. De-chu Chris Tang is the Founder CEO of VaxDome Inc. He and his associates were the first to have developed DNA vaccines, skin-patch vaccines, antiviral/vaccine hybrids and in vivo cytotoxicity assay, etc. Dr. Tang obtained his PhD degree from Indiana University. He founded Vaxin Inc. when he was an assistant professor at University of Alabama at Birmingham. VaxDome Inc. is located on University of North Texas Health Science Center campus, with a focus on the development of an antiviral/vaccine/vaccine potentiator package without constraints imposed by viral mutations; as well as a tissueresident cellular immunity assay with missing-in-action T cells excluded.

Currently he is the CEO of Apterna Limited, a company focussed on novel oligonucleotide delivery and Dawn Therapeutics specialising in gene therapy. Previously Nagy was founder and Chairman of EMcision Limited (acquired by Boston Scientific Inc in 2018).Nagy is Lead Clinician and Head of the Department of HPB Surgery at Imperial College London.

Daniel Salmon, PhD ’03, MPH, is a vaccinologist who conducts epidemiological and behavioral studies to assess the safety of vaccines and improve vaccine decision-making. Research Interests International Health, vaccine; immunization; vaccine safety; mandatory immunization.Dr. Salmon’s primary research and practice interest is optimizing the prevention of childhood infectious diseases through the use of vaccines. He is broadly trained in vaccinology, with an emphasis in epidemiology, behavioral epidemiology, and health policy. Dr. Salmon’s focus has been on post-licensure vaccine safety, determining the individual and community risks of vaccine refusal, understanding factors that impact vaccine acceptance, evaluating and improving state laws providing exemptions to school immunization requirements, developing systems and science in vaccine safety, and effective vaccine risk communication. Dr. Salmon has considerable experience developing surveillance systems, using surveillance data for epidemiological studies, and measuring immunization coverage through a variety of approaches. Dr. Salmon has worked with state and federal and global public health authorities to strengthen immunization programs and pandemic planning. Dr. Khoury is a pulmonary and internal medicine consultant at the Technion School of Medicine, Israel, Dr. Khoury earned his M.D. He completed his internship and residency at Rambam Health Care Campus, Haifa, Israel. He then completed a clinical fellowship in pulmonary diseases at Carmel Medical Center. Since then, Dr. Khoury serves as a senior physician at Carmel Medical Center, where he established the first post COVID clinic in north Israel, and at EMMS Nazareth hospital, where he established the pulmonary care unit. Dr. Khoury started his post doctoral fellowship at Yale School of Medicine on 5/2021, where he studies novel pathways for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis development, at Dr. Kaminski's lab.

She has played a key part in the design and implementation of South Africa’s biotechnology strategy. She holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of Afrigen Biologics (Pty)Ltd based in Cape Town, South Africa. Afrigen hosts the WHO Global mRNA technology development and transfer Hub and has a mRNA Covid 19 vaccine candidate in development as part of a global program to build capacity and capabilities in LMICsto design, develop and produce mRNA vaccines.Prof Terblanche is the author of more than 200 scientific publications and conference papers in public health. Petro holds several Board positions and serves on a number of scientific advisory boards in the public health sector. She was recently acknowledged as one of the legends of science by the Academy of Sciences South Africa.

Dr. Ljudmila Stojanovich received her Ph.D. in Medicine, with the thesis “Neuropsychiatric manifestations in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus†in 1999. She is the scientific director in the Bezhanijska Kosa, University Medical Center of Belgrade University, where she is currently a Full Research Professor. Dr. Stojanovich’s research focuses on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, and Vaccination in patients with Autoimmune Rheumatic diseases. She is an author of three monographs and of about 250 articles on various aspects of Autoimmune Rheumatic disorders, published in international and domestic journals and in conference proceedings.
